A Lead Sheet is a
simplified version of a song, usually stating the melody
and chord changes. This primarily exists in
non-classical Western music. Different genres have
personalized notation as well: country music, especially
the Nashville studio scene, relies on a number system
(very similar to a Roman numeral system). Jazz and pop,
however, tend to list chords by name. Most lead sheets
give no order or arrangement in regards to performance;
rather, it is up to the user to determine these factors
plus instrumentation.
The
website was designed to provide the customer with the
ability to review the music by looking at a portion of
the score and also by listening to an audio clip of the
music. This was done to aid the customer in deciding on
whether they want to purchase the music. By not
accepting returns on sheet music, we protect the
composer against possible copyright infringements. We
will accept returns under special circumstances but it
will need to be approved prior to return by emailing
sales@pelicanmusicpublishing.com Additionally, if
for some reason your order is not complete, you can
contact
sales@pelicanmusicpublishing.com and the problem
will be corrected.
We are located in

Once
you see an item you want, put the number of copies you
want in the box next to the description of the item and
then press "Add To Basket". At this point you can
continue shopping or click "Basket" to see what items
you have selected. Timesaving suggestion: Use the cart
as a "Want List" to help you decide what you really want
the most. Go ahead and add every item you even think
you want to your basket. Then click "Basket" and delete
the less desirable items until you reach a comfortable
dollar total. Remember it costs you nothing to load
your basket and edit the contents. After you are done
shopping and have viewed your cart to make sure only the
items you really want are listed, click the "Checkout"
button. This will present you with a list of the items
in your shopping basket and a grand total is US dollars
not including the shipping costs. From this point follow
the directions on the screen.
