Lullabye and Fanfare has been performed at Kendall Bett's Horn Camp, the Swiss Horn Days Festival (Sarnen, Switzerland), and the University of Iowa. Lullabye and Fanfare was written for the University of Iowa horn choir. It consists of two contrasting movements. Lullabye begins quietly, soothingly, using bell-tones and washes of beautiful horn sound, like an aural watercolor. It segues abruptly into the Fanfare movement, which is bold dynamically and energetic rhythmically with its alternation between 6/8 and 3/4 time. L&F is a rousing and attractive piece that is fun for players and listeners alike.
